UPPER EYELID
When excess upper eyelid skin interferes with one’s vision, blepharoplasty is covered by medical insurance. In other cases, upper eyelid blepharoplasty can be done to remove hooding and improve the shape of the eyes.
LOWER EYELID
Lower eyelid blepharoplasty helps to restore a more youthful and refreshed appearance by diminishing eye bags and improving dark circles. There are several different techniques that can be performed; Dr Siegal specializes in lower eyelid fat transposition in which the fat pads are transferred into hollowed tear troughs.
BROW PEXY
The lateral portion of the eyebrow is the first to sag, and this contributes to a hooded eyelid. During a blepharoplasty, Dr. Siegal can perform a scar-less brow pexy which modestly lifts the tail of the brow. This achieves a natural, long-lasting improvement in the appearance of the eyelids.
